Jaheira is a character from BG1 and BG2. In BG1 she is a harper and companion of the Gorians (a powerful wizard from Candlekeep), Gorion shelters two Bhaalspawn – the main hero and her somewhat older half-sister, Imoen.
There comes a time when the main character has to go on a secret journey with the blondes while maintaining the feelings. But they are attacked along the way by another Bhaalspawn, Sarevok – the main antagonist.
The blondes die and, in their final moments, preach to the main character to find the two Harpers at the Friendly Arms Inn.
The main character flees from Sarevok’s forces and is soon joined by Imoine, who has been secretly following them. Both of them get ready and go to the place where the Harpers, i.e. Jaheira and her future husband Khalid, are there.
He joins the main character’s party, much to the protest of the blondes, and stays till the end.
In BG2, Jaheira already accompanies the main character (along with Emoni, Khalid, Minsk, and Dianaheer).
They are all captured by an evil wizard, Irenicus (the main antagonist), who intends to experiment on the Bhaalspawn to harness their innate powers.
When the main character regains consciousness, he finds himself locked in Irenicus’ warehouse. Imoen somehow escapes her cell and rescues the main character.
In the cell nearby, they also meet Jaheira and Minsk. The others reveal that they have been killed by Dianahir, whose own mission fails, but they promise to stay with the main character, and Jaheira does the same.
